There’s a silent killer that goes unoticed in every man.
unchecked, can bring about the total destruction of such an individual.
You’ll begin to notice or observe that you’re DYING small~small.
This mystery killer was responsible for dragging down at the time the world’s most powerful ruler in Daniel 4:25 into the bush to feed on grasses for seven long strait years.
This same mystery “destroyer” brought down one of God’s most treasured angel called “Lucifer” as recorded in Isaiah 14:12-17
12: How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13: For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15: Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16: They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17: That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
From the above scriptures, you would have noticed the language of those under the influence of this silent killer~”I”, “Iam”, “Me”, “Myself” “I will”, “I only”, “Only me”~ all that matters is not others but themselves.
They’re DYING small~small until suddenly, they’re no more if they don’t change.
Your guess is correct if you’re thinking of “PRIDE” right now.
One of the fastest ways to die young is to live in pride ~Proverbs 16:18 ~Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Sources of PRIDE:
¶ When you possess enormous amount of money.
¶ When you occupy some important positions of leadership.
¶ When you’re highly educated.
¶ An intense awareness of ownership.
¶ When you have gathered plenty titles.
¶ When you or your family are in rulership.
¶ When you are hailed or praised frequently.
¶ when you are popular
¶ Surprisingly, when you’re poor~ have you noticed that one of the reasons why a large portion of people are poor is due to pride. “I” cannot do that kind of job, “I am” educated and will not descend so low to sell pure water, ride okada or become a gate man.

The antidote to this silent mystery killer is “HUMILITY” not “STUPIDITY”.
Proverbs 29:23~ A man’s pride will bring him low, but he who is of a humble spirit will obtain honor.
Some of the adjectives used in describing humility includes: modesty, meekness, gentleness etc
Some people, in trying to be humble become stupid.
When you lower your value or integrity to please someone you respect~ that’s not humility, its stupidity.
When someone feels he/she is of inferior quality and as a result is humble~ such humility is not pure.
When you’re humble out of fear or favour~thats not humility, its called pretense.
One of the greatest, if not the greatest lifestyle that constantly humbles you is the lifestyle of genuine heartfelt prayer to God.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
From the above scripture, we can see the steps to take to repent from PRIDE:
¶ Humble yourself I.e be humble.
¶ Kneel down and pray to God for forgiveness.
¶ Seek the face of God by reaching out to the poor, orphans, widows and the less privileged around you.
¶ Submit to authority and everyone above you in righteousness.
¶ Totally forsake the lifestyle of PRIDE and avoid things, people and situations that triggers PRIDE in your life.
¶ The moment you do this and make it your lifestyle, God steps on to lift you up and bless you.
On the contrary, a proud man doesn’t believe there’s God.
Psalms 10:4 ~ The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
God himself ensures that a proud man is humiliated.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
Proverbs 16:5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Be wise! Be humble!
