Its our month of “Tremendous giveaways”
¶ The principal of receiving states that “if you want to receive, you must first give, no matter how small provided that you give with a cheerful heart and that the measure with which you give is the measure with which you shall receive”.
Luke 6:38~
King James Version [KJV]:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Amplified Version [AMP]:
Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour [ad]into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you.
¶ Giving is not just about the amount given but also important is the attitude with which the giver gives.
2nd Corinthians 9:6~
AMP:[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings.
¶ Giving from your heart sacrificially is paramount in Gods slight.
Mark 12:41-44~
41: And He sat down opposite the treasury and saw how the crowd was casting money into the treasury. Many rich [people] were throwing in large sums.
42:And a widow who was poverty-stricken came and put in two copper mites [the smallest of coins], which together make half of a cent.
43:And He called His disciples [to Him] and said to them, Truly and surely I tell you, this widow, [she who is] poverty-stricken, has put in more than all those contributing to the treasury.
44: For they all threw in out of their abundance; but she, out of her deep poverty, has put in everything that she had—[even] all she had on which to live.
I urge you to go out of your comfort zone to reach out to someone that really needs your help no matter how small.
Don’t give to show off. Sincerely give from your heart of heart.
